I don’t have any problem with this btw. This general reality is not exclusive to CFB. But even in a year where it seemed parity was the rule of the day, the first weekend showed multiple playoff teams simply weren’t close to championship caliber.

College football reality that’s similar to other leagues: The sport expanded to a 12-team playoff (rightfully so) but reality is only 4-5 teams can actually win the national championship in any given year.
